Wie mij volgt op Instagram zal het wel gemerkt hebben. Vorige week zat ik al volledig in lente/zomer modus met de presentatie van de nieuwe SS16 collecties! Een sterk contrast met het weer buiten. Hoe geweldig is het niet om volledig shopgewijs door de nieuwe collecties te gaan en in je hoofd al een musthave lijstje op te stellen?! En om dit gevoel met jullie te delen, heb ik het in deze en volgende posts over een aantal stuks die volgend seizoen zeker niet in je kast mogen ontbreken. Te beginnen met DENIM! In alle mogelijke elementen van je outfit!

If you follow me on Instagram then you've probably seen it! Last week I was in a total spring/summer mood during the press days presenting the new SS16 collections! What a difference with the bad weather outside! I had an amazing time checking all the new collections like they were in one huge shop. And there are already quite some items on my to shop list ;-) I definitely want to share this with you, so I will be talking about some must have items for next season in this and the following posts. Starting with DENIM! In every part of your outfit!


Jeans is volgend seizoen echt wel een musthave in je garderobe. Van de gekende jeanshemdjes tot een high waist jeans of een midi skirt. Zelfs een kleine 90s vibe is toegestaan!

Jeans is definitely a must have in your wardrobe: the well-known jeans shirts, high waist jeans, midi skirts, ... Even a small 90s vibe is allowed ;-)

Bij de playsuit van Lee Cooper en het jeansjurkje van Garcia Jeans kan je zelf je taille gaan accentueren. Dit zijn 2 modellen die wat meer casual en sportiever zijn. Ik krijg er eigenlijk al een zon-zee-strand gevoel bij (waar is de zomer???). Het doorlopende model van Esprit is dan weer wat stijlvoller.

With the Lee Cooper playsuit and the Garcia jeans dress, you can define your own waist. These 2 items are a little more casual and sporty. They actually make me dream of a sunny day at the beach right now! On the other hand, the straight Esprit dress is more classy. But still very trendy of course!

Skirts

Vooral bij de rokken krijg ik toch wel een groot 90s gevoel. De knopen op de voorzijde en de snit van de rok, ik had vroeger zeker zoiets in m'n kast... Maar nu ligt er naar mijn gevoel ook iets meer accent op de zakken. En de jeansrok vind je weer in alle lengtes: kort, midi, lang, wat je maar wil. Over de verschillende denim broeken heb ik het in deze post niet, maar rechts zie je toch wel een exemplaar met opvallende knopen op de zakken. De broeken worden trouwens ook opnieuw wijder... Tijd dus om afscheid te nemen van die skinny jeans! Wie is fan? Zelf moet ik er toch nog even aan wennen.

Especially with the denim skirts, I have a strong 90s feeling. The buttons on the front side and the cut of the skirt remind me of a denim piece I had in my closet at that time. But now I think there's more focus on the pockets. And there will be a denim skirt in every length: mini, midi, maxi, whatever you want. I'll wont mention the well-known denim trousers but on the right side you see an example of a Julia June piece also with striking buttons on the pockets. Oh, and trousers will be wider again! Byebye skinny jeans! Do you like this type of trousers? To be honest, I have to get used to it :-)

Guess - Caroline Biss - Guess

En tot slot de schoenen en tassen! Want ook hier kan denim niet ontbreken. Zo vind ik de denim invloeden op bovenstaande Guess tassen echt wel geweldig! Denim schoenen zou ik dan weer dragen met een vrij basic outfit. Want less is more uiteraard ;-)

And last but not least: shoes & bags! Because denim can be everywhere! That's why I love these Guess bags! Denim shoes are quite special, so I would wear them with a basic outfit. Because less is more!
