Helloooo!! Van een drukke week gesproken, phieuw! Gelukkig zijn er zo 2 dagen in de week waar het wat rustiger mag ;-) Vanaf volgende week bereid ik jullie trouwens voor op de feestdagen! Hou dus zeker m'n blog in de gaten, want er komen verschillende topics aan bod. Maar nu nog even terug naar de persdagen met de collecties voor de volgende lente/zomer. Ik ontdekte er namelijk ook een aantal merken die m'n aandacht sterk getrokken hebben. Tijd om even dieper in te gaan op deze merken. Ik ben al verkocht, ben benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden!

Hello!! What a busy week... I'm so thankful that there are 2 days where relaxing is permitted ;-) Starting from next week I'll also prepare you for the holidays so keep an eye on my blog. There will be a lot of different subjects! But for now, back to the spring/summer 2016 press days! During those 2 days I also discovered some lovely brands who caught my attention immediately. In this post I'll talk about some of these brands. I'm already a huge fan, but I'm so curious to know if you like them too!

Sébastien Vandekerckhove


Volgers op Instagram zagen deze prachtige creaties al voorbijkomen, maar ik wil toch nog even stilstaan bij deze supermooie juwelen van Sébastien Vandekerckhove uit Gent. Sébastien ging na z'n studies mode nog een opleiding tot edelsmid volgen. Dit is een selectie van zijn eerste collectie. En dat belooft voor z'n volgende creaties! Elk stuk is zoooo geweldig, én volledig handgemaakt uit zilver en koper! Intussen won Sébastien een beurs waarmee hij gedurende een maand in Indië met nomaden kan werken rond juwelen.
Deze prachtige collectie is voorlopig enkel te koop bij Touché in Gent, prijzen variëren tussen 160 en 300 euro.

My followers on Instagram have already seen these beautiful creations, but in this post I want to tell you a little bit more about these gorgeous jewels by Sébastien Vandekerckhove (who lives in Ghent, Belgium). After his fashion education, he graduated as a jeweler. And this is a selection of his first collection! Which is very promising for what's to come! I adore every single piece of it, totally handmade with silver and copper! Sébastien also won a scolarship to work on jewellery with nomads in India.
At this moment, you can only find these beauties at Touché in Ghent. Prices vary between € 160 and € 300.

Sweet Lemon




Sweet Lemon is een damesschoenenmerk dat sinds 2012 wordt ontworpen in België, en gefabriceerd wordt in Italië. De naam van het merk verwijst naar de zachtheid van het gebruikte leder en het pittige design met leuke details zoals stras, metalen gespen, ... Ook de croco en snake prints komen bij verschillende modellen voor. Er wordt trouwens met verschillende soorten leer gewerkt: nubuck, camoscio en soepel leer. Mijn favo's zijn de shiny veterschoenen met plateauzool! Geweldig!
De huidige najaarscollectie schommelt tussen 125€ en 290€.

Sweet Lemon has a wide range of women shoes. Designed in Belgium and produced in Italy. The brand name refers to the softness of the used leather and the tough design of the shoes with lovely details like little stones, metal buckles, ... In some models you'll also recognize the croco and snake print. Interesting detail: different types of leather are used for the creation of these shoes: nubuck, camoscio and flexible leather. My favourite ones are the shiny lace shoes with plateau sole! Just amazing!
The current fall/winter collection vary between € 125 and € 290.

Very Important Pixels


Dit nieuw merk is echt de max! VIP (Very Important Pixels) werd dit jaar opgericht door Kristof Saelen, een Mechelse designer die o.a. pixelated art maakt. Het maken van business cards met telkens zijn/haar gepixelde beeltenis (zou ik trouwens ook wel super vinden op mijn kaartjes, maar dat even terzijde) evolueerde tot deze eerste unisex lijn. Elk pixelmannetje van de tanktops, T-shirts en sweaters is met de hand (wel digitaal) opgebouwd. Kristof Saelen maakte hiervoor telkens 30 verschillende mannetjes en brengt de beste stukken samen voor het meest herkenbare eindresultaat. Een resultaat dat echt wel mag gezien worden! Ik ben alvast een grote fan! Benieuwd welke herkenbare gezichten hij nog op z'n kledingstukken zal toveren. Mijn favo's? Absoluut Karl Lagerfeld en Anna Wintour!

This new brand is just amazing! VIP (Very Important Pixels) was launched this year by Kristof Saelen, a designer of Mechelen (Belgium) who creates pixelated art. For a company he made business cards with the pixelated portrait of each person (for the record, this would be so cool on my cards too!) and this evolved into his first unisex line. Each pixelated character on the tank tops, T-shirts and sweaters is (digitally) built by hand. To reach this, Kristof Saelen made 30 different creations of each character and used the best parts for the most recognizable result! And this result is so beautiful! Yes, I'm a fan! Which is very curious to discover the characters in the following collections! My favourite ones? The one with Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour, for sure!

Elysée



Net als Sweet Lemon gaat ook Elysée kledingstukken in België ontwerpen en produceren in Italië. De afwerking gebeurt dan opnieuw in België. Alle items uit deze collectie kunnen zowel op kantoor als tijdens een avondje uit gedragen worden. Met het toevoegen van enkele matching accessoires kan het merk zo een totaaloutfit aanbieden. De collectie van Elysée wordt verkocht via home parties, en binnenkort ook online! Ik kende het merk nog niet, maar wat een topstuks!

Just like Sweet Lemon Elysée designs its fashion items in Belgium, which are produced in Italy. Afterwards each item is hand finished in Belgium again. All garments in this collection can be worn both at the office and during a night out. For a total look the brand offers some matching accessories as well. For the moment the collection is sold via home parties. Soon they will be available online too. I didn't know the brand yet, but now I just love this collection!
