New collaboration: Axelle Red for JBC

Alweer een nieuwe samenwerking in de fashionwereld! Na Jani Kazaltzis heeft nu ook Axelle Red een collectie uitgewerkt voor JBC. Ik was al fan van haar eigen garderobe van Belgische ontwerpers tijdens de tentoonstelling in het Modemuseum van Hasselt (zie mijn blogpost hierover) en herken dan ook echt haar stijl in de stukken voor JBC. Gelukkig kreeg ze carte blanche van JBC waar haar American chic collectie het resultaat van werd.

Yet again a new collaboration in fashion town! After Jani Kazaltzis, Axelle Red has her own collection for JBC. I really loved her own wardrobe of Belgian designers during the exhibition in Modemuseum Hasselt (read my blog post about it) and immediately recognized her style in her 'American chic' collection for JBC. Fortunately she got 'carte blanche'.

Concreet ligt er vanaf vandaag een minicollectie van 20 stuks in de JBC winkels (maar ook online verkrijgbaar). Typerende elementen zijn goud, denim, hemdjes met studs en de snakeprint in meerdere kleuren. Ik vermoed dat niet iedereen er wild van zal zijn, maar de collectie straalt voor mij wel karakter en zelfzekerheid uit. Aangezien mode een vorm is van zelfexpressie hou ik hier dus wel van. Bovendien zijn veel stuks wel te combineren, wat ook niet onbelangrijk is. Bovendien is ook aan de volgende generatie gedacht met een collectie voor meisjes waar opnieuw de typische elementen zoals goud, denim en de snakeprint in terug te vinden zijn.

So starting from today you can find a small collection of 20 items in JBC stores (also online available). Typical elements are gold, denim, shirts with studs and the snake print in multiple colours. I don't think everyone will be a huge fan, but for me the collection displays personality and confidence. And due to the fact fashion is a way of self expression I love these items. Besides that a lot of pieces can be combined, which is also important of course. And Axelle Red tought about the next generation with a collection for girls. For these items she also used gold, denim and the snakeprint.

Om binnen de sfeer te blijven werd de collectie voorgesteld via een virtuele 360° catwalk (op een scherm van 90 meter) waarvoor de beelden opgenomen werden op Route 66 in de buurt van Los Angeles.
